Proposals
Update: Proposal submissions are now closed. Results of the proposal submissions will be announced in the middle of February or earlier.
Here is some general information for each of the three proposal types.
Concerts
When proposing to perform a concert you will need to submit information about the repertoire, performers and performance details. Note that recitals will be capped at 25 minutes of music. Both professionals and students are encouraged to apply. Performers are encouraged to play pieces written by composers from their own country. The College of Music has staff pianists and other collaborative musicians for this event. All facilities have microphone and amplification systems. The College of Music has a harpsichord, but no other period instruments. Finally, performers are able to indicate whether they would like to be considered for an evening concert.
Lectures
In our part of the world it is common for music professors to publish research either in an academic journal or at an academic conference. There were be a special room for lectures at IDRS 2023 and lecturers are able to indicate whether they would like the abstract of their lecture published in the conference proceedings.
Masterclasses
Professional players and teachers are encouraged to submit a proposal to give a masterclass. Students will be assigned to play in masterclasses as the conference approaches.
